What the visit is like
The park is a jungle trail with large aviaries you walk into: once inside, toucans, macaws and flamingos are just a few metres away.
You'll need a couple of hours at an easy pace. Many of the birds were rescued, and the park works on their conservation.
How we combine it
Parque das Aves is opposite the entrance to Iguaçu National Park, so the easiest plan is to do both on the same day: the Brazilian Falls first and the birds after, or the other way round.
